Get Ready Indianapolis

Peyton Manning has meant more to the Colts franchise and to the city of Indianapolis than is probably measurable.  But I'm sorry to say that its starting to look like Rob Lowe isn't as "funny" as we think.  Lowe recently appeared on "The Ellen Degeneres Show" where she asked him about his recent Twitter stunner:  Lowe told Degeneres he was only tweeting about Peyton Manning -- "I'm a regular guy, I'm like a guy, a regular guy who, like, has his opinions and stuff" -- when he learned how Twitter is "powerful, powerful medium."

Ellen responds: "Yes it is, people are saying 'How do you know that?" and "What's going on?" And how do you know that, and what's going on?"
"I hope against hope it's not true," Lowe said.
"Well, you have some information, obviously, right?" Ellen pushed. "Somebody told you?"
Lowe dodged the question: "Ellen, I could tell you, but I'd have to kill you."
The video is here > Rob Lowe on Ellen Show.

Who refuted the claim that Manning will hang it up?  .............................(crickets chirping)

There has been no definite denial from the Irsay camp, the Manning camp, or the Colts themselves.  So what if Lowe is just a guy with a twitter account like you and me who found out very juicy news and posted about it?  What if your buddy knew Peyton's best friend and he heard definitive news that he was going to retire?  Would you put it on Twitter?  Probably.  Would anyone believe you?  Nope.

So, get used to the idea Indy, it's sounding like the unbelievable yet inevitable is upon us; Manning will retire.

Either way, it seems as though Irsay and Grigson will draft a QB with the number one overall pick in April's draft.  Irsay alluded to this fact in an interview with Hannah Storm yesterday > Watch the interview here Irsay speaks with Hannah Storm.
